Take to the skies with your very own classic Lego airport set. This sophisticated scene features a tall control tower with radar dish providing a good view of all Jetport activities. The set builds a passenger terminal with air safety checkpoint, schedule, lockers and two 'gates' covered with a 'glass' dome, a roof-top waiting area, a luggage area with two-car baggage wagon, a long runway with imaginary lights and windsock, a large jet airplane (opens up to place Lego minifigs inside), a helicopter with opening hatch and rotating 'blades,' and a landing pad out front. A palm tree finishes off the scene for that getaway feel. The Jetport bustles with activity as the included 8 Lego minifigures go about their business. The list: One formally-attired pilot with golden 'wings' and buttons, three airport employees for such things as control-tower duty, a helicopter pilot with crash helmet and visor, a policeman, plus a traveling couple (two figures, a man and a lady, both in business clothing). Originally produced in 1990, this large hard-to-find Lego set is complete with all 545 original pieces in near mint condition suitable for the collector. The original stickers are all present and properly applied to the correct pieces. Both the original Lego box (with cardboard inner tray) and the original Lego building instructions are included in good overall condition for the age of the set. See photos.
